About the Law Offices of Terrence J. Paulk, PC

Terrence J. Paulk grew up in Irwin County, Georgia. He is the oldest of four sons born to the late Jacob W. Paulk and Judy H. Paulk of Wray, Georgia. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Valdosta State College (now Valdosta State University) and then obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 1978 from Mercer University. He began practicing law in 1978 and opened his Fitzgerald, Georgia, law office in 1980.


He conducts a general practice of law and trial law, with over 40 years of experience. He practices Family Law (divorces, child custody, adoptions, etc.), Personal Injury Law, Social Security Disability Law, Workers’ Compensation Law, Probate Law, and Trial Law. Verdicts obtained include a multi-million personal injury verdict in Cobb County, Georgia.


Mr. Paulk was recognized in 2020 as being in the top 5% of America’s Most Honored lawyers. In 2022 he received recognition by Martindale Hubbell as possessing a very high rating in both legal ability and ethical standards.


Mr. Paulk and his wife, Susan, are very involved with their family, being the proud parents of two daughters (Christie P. Copeland and Dorie P. Bacon) and three wonderful grandchildren. Mr. Paulk’s civic work includes being the chairman of the Fitzgerald Water Light and Bond Commission.
